Greetings People of the North,

The Incipient Shire of Amloch held our first ever
defender event this past weekend. Over 100 people
were in attendance.

The Arts and Sciences competition and brewing
competitions were both won by Lord Eric Von Geldern
who named his consort Lady Hurrem bint Rashid as Lady
of the Winds, and Lady of the Waves.

The Knife, Axe, and Spear competition was won by Lord
Ian McLeod who named his consort Lady Kate as Lady of
the Spire.

Winning the title of Lady of the Night by her own
hand, was Deidre MacPherson, now title bard of Amloch.

Lord Angus Matheson was champion of the rapier list
and named his consort, George, as Lady of the Mists.

HE Sir Daffyd Whittaker was champion of the Lady of
the Lake Tournament and his consort, HE Octavia de
Verdon is Amloch's first Lady of the Lake.

Jeremiah "Swordbreaker" Johnson was the winner of our
First Time Champion tournament.

Many many words of thanks are deserved by many many
people and please forgive me if I forget anyone.

First, to Tamsin Mc Aindruis for supervising the water
bearing for both heavy and rapier lists. Your
