Ok, while I was in Hot Springs today, I went to a flea market. One of the
> booths had what appeared to be an SCA helm. It was black, with a
> detachable visor. Visor was sorta a bronze/copper color, pointed (boar's
> snout fashion, sorta), and had small holes all over. The helm had red
> tape
> on it, on two sides. The nasal piece was in bronze, and split into two
> eyebrow looking decorative pieces. The detachable visor had black tooled
> leather attached to it, broken, the rest of the leather strap was attached
> to the back of the helm. The leather strapping was not in real good
> shape -
> cracked in places. The tooling looked sorta like rayed suns in between
> rayed crescents. It had close cell foam padding. The owner of the booth
> wasn't handy, so I couldn't ask where he got it from. Does this sound
> familiar to anyone? If it is an SCA legal helm, he was asking a fairly

> market, I kinda wanted to make sure it hadn't been lifted from anyone....
