[NR] Proposed Northern Regional Names

With the usual disclaimer I have made at the various discussions held to date, (the seneschal's office has no official position on the topic of regional names, to date, other than conversations be civil), I do want to make the group aware of a couple of things.

First, the "gorilla in the room" has come up at each of the discussions held to date. In those discussions, there are those who think moving towards a principality is a good thing and who feel that this is a first step; and there have been those who like the naming idea but are less interested in further steps; and a couple who don't want any changes that could possibly lead in that direction. To date, the discussions have been civil and people have listened to each other, whether agreeing with each other or not.

But, while discussed, principality has not been the dominant topic at the meetings. Most of the discussions have really centered on whether the north really has a culture and what that is. And on whether having a name for the region would be a beneficial thing. It has been civil and overall healthy.

Second, someone mentioned earlier (and this is to confirm) that region boundaries are subject to change. This is correct. Which groups are in which region, and how many regions there are, are subject to change at the discretion of the Crown and Kingdom Seneschal.
