As some of you know, when Cassius and I stepped up as B&B, one of our
challenges was to make our Baronial Champion step-down baskets special to
the recipient (as opposed to a basket of candles/incense/random fabric/etc.)

We have succeeded in that challenge and have been able to make some really
cool baskets with items specific to the person's persona and/or likes (will
try to post pictures of them online soon), but we have to have money to
make this happen (approx $500/year)...so we raise money to do so through
the Yule silent auction.

Last year we had a lot of REALLY awesome entries for the SA, like Deidre's
gameboard, Bea's wetfelted mittens, Aethelstan's belt, Simon's hood,
Adena's felt coronet and needle work, custom peerage scrolls from the
FireStorm Ink scribal group, plus soooo much more from people all over
Ansteorra!

PLEASE-if you are willing and able to make and/or donate something to our
Silent Auction, please let me know. A description is enough, but would
like to post pictures of the items when they are complete. If you have
something that is GENTLY USED, but you no longer have a need for it, we
will accept those items as well, but it needs to look new (we request that
the items to be something useful in the SCA. Even raw materials, like
roving or wool/linen material is welcome, just request it isn't an
obviously modern mass produced item.

(If you would prefer to make something specific for one of our Baronial
Champions, that is welcomed as well!)

NEW THIS YEAR--CHILDREN'S SILENT AUCTION TABLE- word came back that the
children felt left out, due to the excitement that the adults (eh-hem ...
Michelle... Ebergardis... Adena... yeah... you other's know who you
are...Jean Paul... :-p ) so this year a 'youth S.A.' table will be set up.
The donations can be hand made or store bought items with no minimum bid
and a max value of $5.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions if needed! Thanks for your time!
