All,

The Brotherhood of Brewers, Vintners, and Mazers
(hereafter referred to as the Guild) is pleased to announce that it will be
sponsoring the Bardic Competition at Namron Protectorate. While quaffing a
brew at a recent wedding (given what the Guild makes, who's surprised), several
Guild Members came up with an idea for a Bardic Competition.

Amazingly enough, Their Excellencies of
Namron, the Namron Protectorate Autocrat, and the Namron Seneschal (ok, so he's
a Guild member. He still could have said no!!) all agreed to allow the
Guild to sponsor this event!!!

The rules are simple.

All entries must be of a designated
topic.

The topic promises to be entertaining, and will be announced
just before feast. Written description of the topic will be dispensed
just after the feast.

The Bardic competition will commence 1 hour after the
completion of feast. (Time to be measured by MY
wrist-hourglass).

Props are allowed, and even encouraged!!!

Bribing of event organizer (me) and the judges ia
encouraged, but will have absolutely no impact on the
results.

All entrants are required to be present for the beginning of
the competition, to draw lots for the order of presentation. Entrants
not present when their turn is called will be given wedgies and forced to
perform while balancing a non-participating Peer on their head (in the event a
non-participating Peer is not present, a suitable substitute will be selected
by general aclamation of the audience).

Creativity is encouraged.

Judges will be selected at random after feast (sobriety not
required, but a good sense of humor is a MUST!!!).

Judging Criteria

Creativity (10 points).

Audience reaction (5 points).

Quantity of rotten/spoiled foodstuffs thrown at
performer (Note: Audience must provide their own foodstuffs, but
Participants are allowed to use items/persons at hand as shields, and throw
said foodstuffs back). (5 point) Judges and Organizer are not
allowed to be targets for ANY foodstuffs.

Enthusiasm of Particpant (10 Point)

Skill of presentation. (10 Points)

Additionally, each judge will be allowed 10
points to award at their discretion. (Just to cover things I
haven't imagined or thought of yet.)

Prizes will be provided by the Guild (Anyone want
to guess what it will be?)

The topic will be obscure, detailed,
and should encourage creativity.

Oh, and the Guild will be supplying a variety of beverages for
participants, judges, crowds, and casual passers-by.

So bring your sense of humor, and any generic props you think
might help your presentation.

And I would encourage everyone to come to Namron Protectorate
and participate in this event either as a Particpant or just watch it for
fun!!!
