It is my understanding, if we were wealthy enough, we had a chain mail, long
sleeve, knee length shirt. and a helmet which was usually a rebuilt and
fancied up old Roman helmet for armor.

I've got some illustrated books you can look at that show a few styles of
dress...

:Ok since we seem to be off on a bend of research.  Can someone suggest some
:resources for clothing/armor/lifestyle for Early Norse time period.  Trying
:to flesh out the persona and develop some correct style clothes and who
:knows may even try to redo the armor.
