NK - Drape and Pillage

Lots of you on the Northkeep list expressed a desire to join me
on a Labor Day shopping spree/hands-on fabric class.  Well, Anawyn has
generously volunteered our name (the Textile Vikings), and her home for
a starting place at noon on Saturday, September 4.  We can play in her
fabric chest for a while till everyone is there, then we will set up an
itinerary of fabric stores to visit and consolidate vehicles for carpool
and we will then, well, Drape and Pillage!  Anyone is more than welcome
to join us.  I have already contacted some of the stores and the sales
personnel are more than happy to help us.  AND!!!there are now
Simplicity patterns for late period garb available for sale!  Those who
want a later persona but find the tailoring intimidating can use these
for starters.  They look very nice and my experience with Simplicity is
positive.  For a fun shopping day and much fabric info, join us a week
from this Saturday!
