Marc (I don't remember the exact spelling of your persona name,) posted

It's a mythical substance, supposedly doled out in very small units and
horded by the very few. The problem is that it, being "free", isn't
worth anything, and so few people want it...

As Lady Rowan has posted to the practical meaning of "free time' in the
Barony, let me offer a somewhat different viewpoint on the more
philosophical aspects of free time...

1. If someone does nothing to exert any personal effort in any way
whatsoever, then that person, IMO, has that type of 'free time' that
would be worth nothing to their benefit, as they do nothing with it.

2. On the other side of the coin is the person who is busy with whatever
life projects they may choose, and/or have thrust upon them by
necessity. For those people, some will exert an extra effort to be able
to have time to devote to something that will bring them enjoyment or
satisfaction. Example, the person who works a few extra hours a week to
be able to have money for SCA events. This person has 'free time', but
it has been purchased at a cost in effort to them.

Perhaps I'm just a philosophical Viking today.
And, by the way, Greetings!
