Hmm...sounds like an autocrat in the making.....

Just relax and be yourself. :-) Remember the revel Northkeep had?
Approach this event in much the same manner and you'll do fine. When I
first started up in Calontir, I was given the advice that telling people
I'm new, this is my first event, etc., was a good way to meet people and to
learn. At the time, I was horribly shy and talking to people was rather
difficult for me. (Yes, I have gotten over that!) The preface worked, I
met some wonderful people who took me under their wings and the rest of it
is history. (And to my knowledge, I offended no one. I may have amused a
person or two but that's perfectly acceptable in my book...).

Go for it! I suspect you *are* good at storytelling. In all honesty, I
have never seen anyone condemned for trying something new. I know there
are horror stories to the contrary but my experiences have been the opposite.

See, you're well on your way to being a happy SCA-er! Get bugspray and
allergy medicine (if you're prone) and you're ready to roll. I'll help in
any way I can and will do my best to ensure that you and Frederick have a
wonderful time....:-)
