I can understand the problem.  I quite often have trouble remembering
where I came across things.

In this case, I'm not doubting that you did run across that bit of
info. It's just so different from anything I've ever heard that I'm
curious.  Roman numerals are one of those things that so many
different people have different ways of listing numbers that it's hard
to say that any of them are "correct".
