NK - Fur question

As someone who's tested the waters...
When I was Khan of the Dark Horde, I wore a steel dress helm (think skullcap) 
with a (fake) snow leopard fur ring around it six inches wide, set with big 
fake gems including a peacock.  I wore it in this and several other kingdoms, 
and never received any comment from even the most anal retentive heralds, in 
the Horde or not.
I can't see you'll have any problems.
