The "*.ff_" files are components of FastFind, a Microsoft Office 
utility.  FastFind scans through the contents of Office documents and 
indexes those contents for searches.  If you never use fast find to 
search the contents of your office files, then delete these files and 
remove the fastfind icon from your startup folder.  This will also 
speed up your computer slightly at startup as fastfind reindexes the 
contents at startup.
