in texas someone i know was arrested and charged for terrorists tactics for leaving threats to her sister on the answering machine. which is a felony.

   Another thing someone who would be willing to make threatening phone
calls might consider, besides the lack of decency, honor and respect
that it shows, is that it is, to my understanding, illegal. Just this
afternoon in reviewing local (McAlester) police reports, was an offense
report referring to harassing phone call(s).
