Actually, you can, unless you actively spit up everclear all over
the
lip of the bottle.

Mono is nothing to joke about.  I've had it, gotten from sharing
a canteen
while in Basic Training, I was very lucky -- I was able to push
on through
it. The guy whose canteen I drank from spent two months in the
hospital
and almost died.
