Greetings All
For those who may have missed the article in the Friday Tulsa World, a
full-sized, hand-built, replica of Christopher Columbus' ship The Nina is
making a 3 week stop at the Three Forks landing south of U.S. 62. in
Muskogee. According to the article this ship is as close to the original as
any ship in the psast 500 years and was built without the use of any modern
power tools. In the photos it looks pretty impressive. Tours are open to
anyone interested and costs are $4 adults, $3.50 seniors and $3 students
over 5. Younger children are free. The only number provided is for
teachers wishing to schedule class tours, but I am assuming they have other
information as well---(561) 307-2697. The visit is part of a promotion by
the Port of Muskogee so they may also be a source for info on exact days and
times since that was not listed in the article.
Siobhan
