Susan,
If you have the Baron and other people interested in going then I see no
reason to not do this demo.

Later,
Ian

Subject: [Northkeep] Demo check

We have a request for a demo for Feb 8th. This is the Friday of BLAT, so I
know that many will be gone. Catin is likely to be at BLAT, so I am
coordinating this one. I have a few people confirmed and will be checking
at populace tonight. This is my first one where they are offering to feed
us, but it is catered and I will need to give them hard numbers. She said
they could comp 10, so we will get numbers tonight and if there are more
than 10, divide the amount above it between us. This should hopefully keep
it simple.

I have included a part of her message below, Kit can do some of the bardic
but it would be great to have another or two. If you are just wanting to
come later for fighting, let me know that also,

from her message:

Since B & G banquet is the birthday of Scouting we chose a Medieval theme to
recognize the connection that our founder, Lord Baden-Powel, made in using
the Knight's Code of Chivalry as inspiration for the Scout Promise and Law.
Our event will start at 6:15 p.m. People will start arriving by 6 or so. If
any of your members would like to arrive by that time they could mingle.
There is a large lounge area next to the hall we're using where a table
could
be set up to display leathercrafts or other items. We'll start serving
dinner about 6:35 or so and any of your group are welcome to eat with us. We
are having the Green Onion cater our event, I have not heard their menu yet,
but I requested something in the theme of our event. I'd love it if we could
have a Bard entertain us during dinner, about 20-25min (kids eat fast)!
After dinner we'll present our awards to the Cub Scouts and the leaders
(that
will take about 20 min) and then we'd like to have some fighters stage
one-on-one battles.

Let me know how all this sounds, and if any is not reasonable to expect.
I'll
need to know the min. space needed for the fighters. I know we can provide a
space about 20 feet long and about 8 feet deep, is that enough? What else do
we need to consider?
