   An Evening of Love Poems and Celtic Music
   Tuesday, February 5, 2002

Nimrod International Journal, The James Joyce Quarterly, Borders, and the
friends of the Tulsa Irish-American community are pleased to present An
Evening of Love Poems and Celtic Music, featuring Mary McLaughlin, noted
writer, teacher, and performer of Irish music. Ms McLaughlin, born and
raised in Northern Ireland, began her study of Gaelic as a child. In
workshops and performances she combines her love of the language with her
love of Irish music to offer audiences a lively and original experience.

In addition to Ms McLaughlin's appearance, the evening will include readings
oflove poems from Nimrod's special issue, Celtic Fringe. Recordings of Ms
McLaughlin's music, including her CD Celtic Requiem (Windham Hill), will be
available for purchase, as will copies of Nimrod.
