Your Excellency, of _course_ it's their choice. My only concern is that
they will wind up going through the same song and dance with the College
that virtually every other group seems to have done, and wind up with
something they really didn't want.
For example, as I understand it, in 1976, this group was first called
(I believe by Lady Agnes de Saint Michel and Ronald of Evergreen)
Nord-aus-das Sturm ("North of the Storm") which was corrupt German pun on
the intended name Nord-aus-der-strom ("North of the Stream" - i.e. the Red
River). Nord-aus-das Strom was used for the group by 1977, although by 1981
the pun had snuck back in as Nordliche Sturm ("North-like Storm" - and you
wonder where the reputation comes from...). By January 1982 Northkeep had
become the name of the shire. (And no, Susan, I have no idea who actually
suggested it first).
Actually, I've been in a pretty good mood today, except after Hotmail ate
the first version of that message (and now, after finding that someone keyed
our car at the Fair -- anyone know how to repair scarred clearkote?).
