Thanks Diarmaid. I knew about the cutting it part - I didn't know about the burning. Yuck!!!! I'm thinking herbicide is probably safest. We'll talk to D&O about it first chance and see what they prefer. If we begin aggressively treating it now perhaps by next spring it will not have so great a hold on the property. Mercedes
