[Northkeep] Mace Construction

  Greetings! 
  I'm away from work, and have been working on some
SCA weapons. I have read information on the
ansteorra.org webiste in the KM section, but am still
unclear as to how thick the head of a mace has to be
off the stick.
   I have made two, each using two separate
'roll-sextions' of closed blue cell foam for the head
of the mace. This is from the type of roll bought at
Wal-Mart.
   My question is, is this sufficient for the head?
   I have uses the strapping tape to afix the mace
heads, and have added a legal thruster to each. I hope
to get a chance ot fight 'florentine' with the pair
(they come out to about 37-38" each in length) this
weekend.
