[Northkeep] device conflict....

Is there actually a "dictionary" sort of listing of what these things mean?
If not, perhaps someone could make one... doesn't seem it would be all that
difficult... and it would be a good reference for us new people. Seems so
easy that I would think there would already be one out there somewhere...
don't you think? I would be happy to type something out if I had a clue what
they all were... I will compile the information I have so far (not much) and
perhaps copy the list from that website to create an Excel spreadsheet or
something. (time lapse) I have created a spread sheet with each page one
letter from A to Z... and one for colors. Now all I need is to insert all
these words... unless there is already a source out there.

Erased, for reasons I'm not quite sure of, means ripped off. So a dragon's
head erased has been ripped off of the body and has a rough line along the
"rip"

Domo, Masamune-san. This makes much more sense to me now. When you said
"erased" earlier, does that mean the image is white on a colored background?

A fret is a hollow diamond with a couple of small "straps" braided through
it.

Per pale means divided from top to bottom by a straight line, so that the
left half is a different color from the right half.

Counterchanged means the "per pale" division splits the fret as well as the
field and the colors are reversed. Over the blue (azure) half of the shield
the fret it yellow (Or), and over the yellow half (Or) the fret is blue
(azure).

OK, what's a fret, what is counterchanged and does "per pale" not mean what
I think it does? What am I saying, it still doesn't make sense even if it
DOES mean what I think it does!!! The only part of this I understand (now)
is the colors... Can someone give me an SCA to english translation here so I
can try to understand?
