[Northkeep] Dionadair

Out of curiosity... what kind of pre-event publicity was there? Had we
gotten any spot or mention in the paper, on radio, TV... ? Posters posted at
colleges, etc?

With only exposure to passers by in the park - we weren't even visible from
the road - isn't going to generate a lot of interest, if that's the goal.
We had folks who were happy to talk to those who had questions - I saw
perhaps 20 mundane faces come by - but it *seemed* like the focus was more
"We are doing our thing and if you have questions, come up and ask
someone" - putting the burden of contact on the mundane.

So perhaps a good question to ask is: What is the goal of the Dionadair? If
it's us folks doing our thing and having a tournament, cool... if it's
Northkeep trying to show Tulsa what the SCA is, in an open environment, then
we need to let Tulsa (and the surrounding areas) know it's going on, and
have people whose primary task for the day is drawing people in, and working
with them to get them involved. We need to have a shaded, comfortable area
for guests to sit and watch, plan extra refreshments for them, more of a
'hospitality and welcome center' and publicize publicize publicize.

as always, just my 2 centimes worth...

In service,

Zubeydah
