At least 1.25" in diameter or so, although slightly smaller stuff can be
brought up to minimum diameter through the liberal application of tape.

Between $2 and $3 per foot is a fair price (counting shipping and handling
with Tax), with the $3 a foot for staves cut to sword length.
Below $2 per foot is a good deal.
