It's excellent.  But yes, it's a bit violent.  There's a battle at the first 
part that's short and not as gory as it could be (Herself felt that this 
sequence was more violent than the rest of the movie) and a couple of 
shootings throughout that are on par with, say, High Plains Drifter.   About 
a 6 or 7 on the Saving Pirvate Ryan scale.  OTOH, none of it's drawn out 
longer than it has to be and really isn't what the movie's about.
