The picture that says its of decorations for the day vigil is actually a picture of the the day vigil alter.
Most often items presented at a vigil have significance not known to most..
Items for both parts of the Vigil held significance, the Chapel segment was visually set so that the main features were the lighted grotto and the the natural aspect of the wooded area... The Tourney segment had more items seemingly of decorative nature displayed...
Of major focus, the Day Vigil Alter...
Included thereon were Owen's belt, chain, sword, and helm, Sir Ricardo's rosary, an old illuminated copy of Sermon on the Mount turned to the Beatitudes, the candles that burned all night for Asaph's vigil and the candelabra that burned for Owen the night previous, a crystal chalice, a carved oak box containing myrrh, frankincense, water from Lourdes and a silver Crucifix, a small Russian Icon diptych, and items from Owens adventure, his drinking horn, a picture of spiritual significance passed down to Owen from Gwennan, and the hand made long Centurion's cloak I'm making for him, all against a illuminated cloth of rust with tawny griffins...All this was lain on a hand woven cloth from Outre mer on a trestle table made by Tarl and Vanessa with help from others...Fred the Dragon hung around the back edge, all Knights need a dragon, and as a reminder that some dragons are just alot of stuffing held in by cloth... and beneath it the box of dreams from the adventure and a copy of Owen's
ceremony to be... Added to the table throughout the day were various gifts and tokens...
Rhiannon's vigil book was used for guest sign in throughout the day...
Also hanging were the protectorate rolls of arms updated with his own arms, and his banner...
On a low table were cloths and flowers used the night befor, Beothlics copper lantern from the adventure, the Girdle book from Emma, and his cup borrowed from Jean Paul supplied with Ox beer, and his plate with Elizabeths food...
Owens four Ox chairs sat on the rug provided for the vigils by Lahoma...
And all this beneath the Tent that Owen didn't even know was his, :-), behind the tent on display was Owen's new Ox bed, purty...
Beside the vigil tent was the reception hall, fetched, set up, and the feast laid out by HL Elizabeth and her wondrous crew...
