"Every child needs a village." It just so happens that
my children have a Viking village!
I agree (I think that he was saying this) with Marc,
if a member of Northkeep wants to take the sense of
community home with him from our meetings, practices,
events, etc, it is definitely possible. I for one DO
believe that the SCA in general, and Northkeep
specifically, is one of the two community circles I
live within. And it is within that feeling of
community where I am most comfortable, a sensation
that is the driving factor for my remaining.
I could ramble on about the idea of community or the
lack there of in modern society, what I believe to be
the failure of the American culture, but this is
obviously not the correct forum for such discussion.
If you'd like to take the bate and discuss it more
drop me a line and we can make a date for coffee!
