I really do wish these messages included where they are located for
those of us who haven't a clue... This sounds quite amusing! Too bad we
have to make the stiks ourselves... Morgan got a pretty purple uni-stik
for Christmas and I still have mine from when I was her age. She's an
old stik, but a good stik.

Anyway, WHERE IS THIS???? WHO'S WEBSITE??? I NEED A VOWEL!!!!

Chris
PS-How does a lady ride a stik, anyway? Or were side-saddles a modern
invention?

Subject: [Ansteorra-announce] UPCOMING EQUESTRIAN EVENT (FIRST TIME
FORTHESE GENTLE FOLK)

REMINDER: Greetings everyone...String of Pearls , La Marche Savage,
the final stage of string of pearls tourney, Equestrian and Stik Horse
Tourney .... January 7-9, 2005, look for map to site on there website
as well
Come one, Come all to the first ever Equestrian and Stick Horse Tourney
and Beyond. What does it entail, do you ask? Well, this is your
opportunity to participate in an Equestrian event without ever having to
ride a horse. This is a time when parents can participate with their
children, fighters who think they are too big for a horse can compete
..... heck, even archers can do it! So, these are some of the tentative
rules:
       0. Bring your live ponies...AS WELL AS your .......
       1. You must have total control of your Stik Horse at all
times..hehe
       2. You must have designed and constructed your Stik Horse(prize
for most creativity)
       3. All course challenges normally done on horse will be there to
do from Stikback, so if you have toys, bring 'em.
       4. Kids are STRONGLY encouraged to participate (we'll have a
prize for children's age group as well as a prize and pearls for adults)
      5. Most importantly: have fun.

We will provide a Stik corral for those Stik horse owners who need a
safe place to board them. Hay and water will be provided on site for
your Stik steed for minimal fees. And for those of you who have studs,
you will need to have a special area for them. Everyone is responsible
for their OWN Stik Horse droppings, a wheel barrel will be provided.

You are encouraged to provide a hoof sounding side kick, or you will be
able to rent one for a small donation. (Anyone have coconuts?)

For the real ponies we will have a challenge course and anyone with a
extra body(fake) please bring...Chaucer, our dummy took leave of my
truck somewhere in Sandia....

Lady Calena, Marshal for the Equestrian Events, if you have any
additional ideas, please send them on...thank you. *BIG GRIN*
