[Northkeep] Grub and Garb

When I ran off to Alabama I spent some time with the Shire or Arenal
of Merides. They did something I thought was pretty cool. Once a month
(Last fighter practice of each month) they get together for fighter
practice and do what they call Grub and Garb. Everyone brings a dish
and everyone garbs up and they hold a big fighter practice and
everyone is all social and gets to eat and greet. This is held in the
park much like our practices are and it attracts a lot of newcomers.
I'd be willing to organize this if anyone is interested. (Not much to
it, show up in garb with food and have fun!)  I know that when the
practices were getting pretty big and the drummers were there and such
we were all having a really good time.  I think this would be a good
way to keep everyone together and social while waiting for the events.
Thoughts?

 Another thought is a newbie sewing class. I for one would like to
learn to sew. I need lessons badly. Anyone out there patient enough to
hold a class??
