The seventh annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be 10 a. m. to
4 p. m. Sept. 9 at Subiaco Abbey. Items for sale will include baskets,
painted glass, calligraphy, jewelry, painted gourds and other paintings.
Lunch will be available at Coury House, and the Mothers' Society of St.
Benedict Parish will have a spaghetti dinner at 5 p. m. at the Round House.
Entertainment will include enactments by the Society for Creative
Anachronism and performances by barbershop quartets and the Greasy Valley
Singers of Subiaco. Subiaco Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located at the
foot of Mt. Magazine in Logan County.

This Abbey is over 100 years old. The castle and grounds give the
feeling of stepping back into early Europe. If anyone is interested in
attending we could use some A&S displays, fighters, and people just wearing
period garb. Merchants should contact the Abbey for more information.

There will be a revel after the demo. If you would like to eat with
us please let us know ASAP so we can have plenty of food prepared. A local
member is providing the food, please bring drinks if possible. If you would
like to donate a few dollars for sharing the BBQ the host plans to use all
proceeds for building a war legal treb. Donations are not necessary, but
encouraged. Please see the link below for driving directions.
