The school is using the wrong reason to ban the photo.  They claim it's 
because they have a zero tolerance policy against weapons when they should 
have had a clearly written policy about what sorts of pictures can appear 
and why.  There are clearly questions of whether the attention-seeking 
antics of one student start to impinge on the rights of the other students 
to have a serious reflection of something meaningful to them (weird as it 
sounds, some people really DO take their yearbooks that seriously, 
especially years down the line).  Think of it as if when we took the 
Northkeep group photo, someone for whom the local group was less than 
meaningful, came and flaunted their NOT being in garb for the photo 
(conversely, the gentleman who actually came in mundanes was trying hard to 
blend into the background).

Also, where is the picture supposed to go?  Is it under the regular class 
listing pictures, or under something like "student life"?

Personally, I'd block the picture because it's a bad picture, and the whole 
ring-buckle belt and cup thing just drives me nuts.  But that's just me.
