Greetings Northkeep,
This day we stand upon the eve of our event. We are so filled with pride at
all of the work has gone into this years event. Classes and teachers that we
have not had before have been recruited, fighting for both heavy and rapier
has been planned, a tasty feast waits to be cooked, an empty halls stands
ready to be decorated, and so much more...Northkeep has done well. There is
still much more to do. On the eve of the event we must make final our plans
and check over our efforts to make certain everything lays ready for
tomorrow.

Is the gate ready to be set up to receive our guests?
Have all of the funds been arranged?
Are all the Gate shifts filled?
Is the comp list for teachers and visiting nobles present?
Are the site tokens and feast tokens ready?

Is the trailer on its way to the site?
Will there be people present to unload?

Are there decorations for the hall, banners, weapons, wall hangings shields,
furs, candles?
Will there be people present to help hang and decorate the hall?

Is the feast ready to go into the ovens?
Does the cook have all she needs?
I am sure there will be plenty of need for hands in the kitchen...

Does the tavern have everything it needs?
Soups being made by various lords and ladies, breads, cheeses, etc.?
Will we offer coffee and warm drinks to the patrons?

Is the fighting ready?
Do we have some one to run the lists?
Will we have people to raise the pavilions, marshals for the field,
waterbearers?

This and such much more runs thru my mind as we stand here on the eve of
wInterkingdom. Will you be one who steps forward to help? Tonight the site
will be open for us to do set up and Northkeep needs you. Come to the school
and aid us in making this event one to remember.

On the morrow return to wInterkingdom with a since of pride in a job well
done to see the appreciation for your hard work in the faces of the teachers
and the students who have journeyed from far and wide to partake of the
classes, and share in the hospitality and camaraderie that Northkeep is
known for.

With pride and honor we will present this fine event and together show the
strength in our unity.

Kindly,
Ian Dun Gillan
Baron of Northkeep and Lord of Chemin Noir
