Finally the heat wave have broken and we are having a beautiful weekend. So
needless to say Archery Practice will be happening tomorrow. I would like to
remind people that directly following Archery Practice Arthur Blackmoon is
holding a class on arrow making. I once again would like to invite all who
are interested to come. Hope to see you there.

Greetings Northkeep!
Good News! Fintan has finally taken possession of his own Manor!
Even now, he is laboring to complete his renovations prior to removing himself and
I (his rapidly ageing Mum!)into our new, more spacious quarters. As of now we
still plan to attend Academy of The Bow/Battle of The Runnen along with some others
of our Canton and some invited guests. We hope to see most of you there as we are
anxious to impress upon our friends just how much better our events are as opposed
to those tawdry (albeit fun also) things called 'Ren Faires', excepting of course,
Norman Med Fair, which is something else altogether!
I hope all survived the 'Heat Wave' we were subjected to last week and are
earnestly praying that we don't have a repeat! In any case, remember our good
chirurgens advise and drink plenty of fluids, take breaks and don't forget your
sunscreen if you're outside.
On another note...The Canton of Chemin Noir will hold populace meeting this coming
Thursday. All are invited who wish to come. We'll have the business meeting
followed by dining at Montana Mike's Steak House. Since there was talk of a
different meeting place, I will post a formal announcement closer to Thursday.

I, regrettibly, will not be able to make Officer's and Populace this month.
Hopefully it will only be this month. I am broadening my horizons and going
back to school in the field of armed security, and the classes happen to
start at 6pm.
I have already submitted to the Saga for this month. Please let me know if
Lady Ismet didn't receive it.

I went to Wally World to buy baseball helmets for the kids to use for boffer
and found that they are on sale for $4 & $7 for the helmets and I think $3
for the face shield. I figured I'd pass on the info in case anyone else was
interested!

Sorry, I meant to mention it was the Admiral and Memorial one! There weren't
many face shields left, and I think they were the more open ones than Facon
picked up... but I could be wrong. They had PLENTY of helmets left,
though...
