yup, the whisky is supposed to strip the gook out of the throat and the
honey is supposed to sooth the sore throat .
besides , after a few of them , you don't care if you cough ; )
we used to heat the honey and lemon juice in the microwave ( before that it
was on the stove, yes im old enough to remember life before microwave ovens
; ) stir well , and add the whisky .
for some reason its supposed to work better if its warm .
