I would love to help out a brother in the SCA, unfortunately I had to spend $525 today on equipment my surgeon wants me to have for post surgery, of which, Medicare and Medicaid will pay nothing, zip, nada. (Yea for government assistance!) I am now in a financial bind too, so if any of you happen to come across a suitcase full of money I'd love to have some of it. LOL Actually Mom and I will get along just fine money wise. It's just going to be tighter than usual around here. For those of you who do not know about my upcoming surgery let me tell you about it. I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Many of you probably know I had my left shoulder surgically corrected earlier in the year. My right shoulder is in much worse shape than the left was. There are numerous tears, lots of bone spurs, a significant amount of damaged tissue surrounding all of that and the top of my clavicle that ends in the shoulder is causing some wears and tears and must be cut
down some. Surgery is scheduled for Monday at noon. I will have special equipment attached to decrease swelling and pain, keep the arm in a position of rest and provide some therapeutic movement to prevent the joint from freezing in one position. I have been told that I will be using this special equipment for at least 4 to 6 weeks. I'll be home bound until then. I have decided to go to Samhain this weekend, against doctor's concerns, with a friend from Bartlesville who is new to the SCA. This is going to be my last big blowout for the year. If any of you is going please help keep an eye on me. If I can still walk I need another drink. If I become non mobile please throw a blanket over me. My favorite one will be in my tent. You all are the greatest people I've ever met. I have found a family in the SCA. If I find that suitcase full of money I'm taking you all to Gulf next year! I love you guys. Please remember me next Monday. I need all the help I can get.
Mom can use a few prayers if you pray. Thanks for all you continue to do to make Northkeep and the rest of the folks in this society one of which I am proud to be a member!

I think if you book greyhound 7 days in advance it is 50.00.... not
sure if that is still the same. There is a really cheap rate though
for a specific time frame.

If so the ticket is $182 and then with taxes and fees $190 should be enough. That way we can fly him home to get his vehicle. He could leave on Nov 3rd or 4th and fly him into Nashville. Of course, we do not have to get a return flight for him as he will have a vehicle.
