[Northkeep] Gerard in hospital

My apologies for not getting this email out sooner than this.  I did send it out a couple days ago but to the wrong address.  My bad!
   
  Gerard has been back in the hospital with cardiac type problems.  He had his second angioplasty today.  The stent that was put in a month ago was partially blocked and had to be cleaned out and opened back up again, and a second stent had to be put in the area that was previously 30% blocked.  The doctor who performed the procedure stated that if he had a third issue open heart surgery would be his next option.  Gerard was, of course, not so happy to hear that, as was neither his Mom nor me.  If all goes well through the night, he will be released tomorrow.  
   
  I will keep everyone updated as much as possible.  
   
  While at St. John's today (with Gerard) my Mom called and said she was having chest pains.  We spent the majority of the day in the ER at Hillcrest.  All tests performed showed no heart attack or acute cardiac problems.  We call her primary care physician and cardiologist in the morning.  I will keep you updated on Mom as well.  
   
  We all appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.  I am too tired to type more.  Talk to you guys soon.
