This is important... if you have damage where the meter and such has been
ripped from the house an electrician has to come out and repair and in some
cases inspect (put an inspection sticker on the meter base) This is a PUC
regulation. PSO isn't allowed to hook up service unless those things have
been done. So, if you have lines down or if you have damage where the lines
have pulled your meter base and service drop away, call an electrician (they
are backed up as well) and get the ball rolling. Otherwise you'll be waiting
for PSO only to have them tell you to fix it first. If you have already had
your meter base repaired and inspected, make sure the electrician calls in
the inspection number on the sticker. If they haven't you can do this
yourself. Orders needing inspections sit there until inspection information
has been called in.
