Whatever took place on the Ansteorra List, and what is being discussed here 
are different because not everyone here actually reads the Ansteorra List.  
Those who do not, may want to read people's comments here.  You have, twice 
in the past few weeks, complained about threads "beating dead horses", and 
are now commenting on the length of a thread not even on this list.  I am 
forced to infer that you are unhappy about the discussions taking place on 
this list.

Many years ago, I ran across two pieces of good advice about dealing with 
discussion lists (they are equally valid for bulletin boards, forums, 
newsgroups and any other form of group communication).  If you don't like 
the discussions, don't read them, or better yet start other discussions that 
you would like to read.

I am sorry if this seems cranky or unpleasant – I don't mean it to be so.  
I'm just suggesting that if you are unhappy about what people chose to talk 
about here on this list, there may be some ways to make you happier.
