[Northkeep] Reattaching the pin to a brooch?

Hardware store- ask for JB Weld. mix a batch of about 1/2 teaspoon, spread
on brooch back- insert pin stem- fold the weld 'stuff' together over the pin
stem, let set overnight.

I went to put my brooches on and the clasp pin came off the back. It appears
to be hot glue or something, but I'm not sure. I want to wear them this
weekend, but have no way of fixing them. Can anyone help?
