...I've never been. What time does it usually start? Is it held in some
sort of shelter, or under the open sky? Are there electrical outlets,
grills, etc., which might be used to keep food warm? Do people bring their
own plates, utensils, etc., are they otherwise provided, or do the cooks
provide.

Thank you!

Greetings,

Aderyn has asked if anyone would be available to help with a
demonstration of siege weapons for physics project/class at St. Peter
and Paul's approximately the week before Chemin Noir's event. Contact
her at 951-2724 if you can help.

Master Cadfan:

In general, from what I've experienced....

> What time does it usually start? : 7-7:30 ish for food...
> Is it held in some sort of shelter or open sky? : Open sky. Well. There's
> a tree.... It's a very nice tree... And someone usually brings a table or
> two to set up on.
> Are there electrical outlets? : Not in that section of the park, no.
> Grills? : Not in that section of the park, no.
> Do people bring their own plates, utensils, otherwise provided? : Most
> folks bring their own feast gear to eat off of...
> Do the cooks provide? : Only if they are especially nice... :)

I hope that's helpful....

Grub N Garb is this week. Remember it is a period cooking competition. (You
don't HAVE to bring period food if you don't want to be in the contest) No
documentation is require but is still really cool. I need two volunteers to
be judges. The prize is pretty cool. I will be there at 7:15 to set up
tables. ( I don't get off work till 630) I hope lots of people want to
participate.

Grub N Garb has been going well for going on three years now. I hope to see
lots more people coming out. This is a good way to get word out to the
public about the SCA.

7:00 PM McClure Park at 7th and Memorial.
Bring food to share
Bring you own feast gear
Dress in garb

See you there THIS Wednesday (next Wed is Halloween.)

Rain date: If it rains us out this Wed we will have the competition next
month.

My time as the Hospitaler is going to be up in July. I am putting this out
early so people can start thinking about it. I invite anyone interested in
being hospitaler for our great barony to get with me and learn about the
position. There are many of you out there who would be great in this
office.
