Yesterday there was an archery tournament. The field was made ready outside the castle walls. The sound of the brass horns road the wind over hill and valley. There was pageantry and long flags of royal colors lined the roads and field.

The Queen, Baron, and Baroness also came to honor the archers that day. Oh! How grand this day became when the Queen took up the crossbow in the Ladies' match. As all stood in wonder and watched, the Marshall (Strong Armed Adilaide) was true to her vows and gave the Queen not a favor one. There were many challengers through this challenging match, but none could equal the skill and grace of Ansteorra's beautiful Queen.

The King was far away in yonder field where he loved to be with his heavy weapons fighters. The Queen retired to the cool castle.

Without warning, fear gripped every heart back at the castle! A fiendish plot was unfolding. A band of eight villains attacked the castle knowing the king and all his fighters were away. Even the devil was in on this diabolical scheme! All the archers were still out in the field when they heard the Queen scream and her dog's shrill barks of alarm! They turned to the castle in horror and watched through the castle windows as the devil, a demented ostracized jester, three evil knights, the black hearted dragon, a barbarian warrior, and a diseased Lunatic, scampered throughout the castle to fulfill their evil intentions upon our beloved Queen and her faithful dog.

The archers rained arrows on the villains to no avail, until the strongest of all the archers summoned the spirit of the great barony of Northkeep and he ran to the front. Every arrow in his quiver held great strength, shot with the keenest of aim, in a blurr of speed, and in less than a minute vanquished all eight foes!

The Queen and her dog were saved and the devil and his band laid lifeless at her feet. The heart of every Northkeep archer swelled with pride in their own SAMUEL AP DEWI (defender of the castle). Congratulations Sam!
