[Northkeep] Winter Kingdom Site

    It's too late for that date to get into the Black Star with the event announcement, is it not?  And why are we just now hearing about the January 30 date we were given as clear being conflicting with another Northern group?  We need to get clear on potential dates and be perfectly certain on what we are committing to.

Which date?

We can not use January the 30th as another Northern Regional group has an event scheduled that weekend.

The news so far---I called Brian (the admin) back just to tell him where to find site info for the SCA. When we spoke earlier, he asked if there was a website or something similar to reference the group when he talked to the folks there about it. I gave him sca.org then, but then I found that they have a document especially for site managers, so I called again to point that out specifically---He said he checked on the date, and it's clear for that weekend. That would allow us to set up on Friday as well. He asked if we would need to use their huge TV/projector screens or their sound system in the sanctuary--I said no probably not--just the overhead lights. With that info he said we're looking at about 400 to rent the entire building! I was shocked because that seems so low for a place like this. Now he's just going to do some more checking, so if this sounds like a good site (I told him that I would pass the info along and someone would likely want to
come look before they make a decision), cross your fingers, pray, whatever--that they clear it. I think you guys would be really happy with this place!
