[Northkeep] computer favor

Tried the digital photo thing from my end.  I'm not good enough with a camera to get them looking right & until I find a job, can't afford a professional (which is seriously backwards considering that's why I'm doing this).  & yea, my folks have a letter size scanner I can use for the smaller stuff.  I need a larger bed for some of my illustrations.  any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.

All our scanners are letter size.

Have you considered digital photography?  We actually don't use our scanners that much anymore here at the Ivory Tower Central.
