[Northkeep] Winter Kingdom Site

I think this is a great idea. I don't know, though, if this will work to combine with Calontir's War College, which was floated as a combine with wInterkingdom ( to explain the way I spell the event, the traditional spelling is mine from the origin of the event as a nod to the now-dead Interkingdom Peace and the partnership with Calontir and its teachers and people that once was a strong theme of wInterkingdom).
I don't pretend wInter/Winterkingdom is "my" event; it is the Barony's event but I cannot help but have a proprietary feeling towards it. It was a big disappointment to me that the Memorial Drive Methodist Church turned us away. It would have been different if my father was still alive, indeed it was different when he lived, as he backed us to the hilt and shepherded 5 wInterkingdoms ( I think that is a correct count) at that church. He was the backbone of that church and to me, it spits in the face of his memory by the current regime of the Trustees that our history and his can so lightly be swept aside. Sorry, I'm getting personally emotional now to no avail.
Anyway, we must persevere to try and find a way to keep Winterkingdom alive this season and not let it pass away. Anything I can do to help with that I will.

                                                                                        Catrin

The planning for Winterkingdom has been one giant hurdle after another this year, with one site not being available after anothe. Until we can confirm a site we can not confirm a date, with out a date we can not confirm a site and so this turns into a terrible catch 22.

I am looking forward to hearing if this church in Chemin Noir will work for us. If so then great, if not then maybe we should look at the Chandler Park Facility...however date wise it looks as though it will be February at this point before there is an open spot on the calendar.

Now there is one option which I just heard about... which was the Kingdom is looking for a site for Kingdom A&S, that event usually works best as a stand alone event but it can be grouped with another event and it is scheduled for Feburary 13th. We could combine the Kingdom A&S along with an Interkingdom peace event hosting a small college...but I think that the site best suited for this would be the Catholic School in Tulsa or the Paine County Fairgrounds in Stillwater.

Kindly
Ian
