[Northkeep] baronial work day

Tega,

I agree. This workday, and indeed, the past one, were put together quickly.
This one, was on a HOLIDAY. I have familial obligations. AKA...I had to
butcher animals to put them in the freezer. Is it any wonder then, that we
as a family utilize those days when all 6 of us are available to do the
work? I run a farm.

With ample advance notice, things CAN be worked into the schedule. 2 or even
3 weeks is not ample advance notice. I plan things out months ahead of time.


His Excellency makes the point that many hands make light work. I agree.
However, knowing that the next King of Ansteorra is of the North, and
knowing that we have many people trying to get things ready for Their
Highnesses, we had a workday here, also.

Tega is recovering from major surgery. (Thank goodness you are doing
better!) Thormund still only has 50% usage out of that index finger, about
80% from the thumb. Due to his injury, most of the things that needed doing
here at the farm did not get done. Things that were planned for this year in
The Plan. This, has of course, set us back. We'll be ok. I spend a large sum
of money annually for Krys to do what she loves.

It costs me anywhere between $10 and $15 to make a trip to Tulsa. I don't
have that extra available. So before you chastise everyone for not showing
up, have some compassion for them. I HAVE shown up in the past. I've cooked
3 feasts, auto-cratted 2 events. Don't tell me I've never done anything for
this Barony. I help as and when I can.
