    I went to the church today to turn in the application for site rental at the church and I need to make you guys aware of: 1. The Dec. 12 date (the one on the kingdom calendar) is a no-go at the Methodist church.  They are doing food bank distribution that day.  2. There will be no decision on the January date until the Board of Trustees meeting which is September 29.  The hope that I was given that they might fast-track it for a quicker decision is not to be.  3.  I would have liked to make myself available to the Board at its meeting that evening, but we are flying to Indiana that morning to visit Anton's parents.  Somebody should be available to attend the meeting to answer any questions that may arise.  As far as I can tell, there is nobody currently on the Board that was there when we previously used the site, so we can't count on favorable memories to help us and being there (if they allow it) could make the difference.  I had hoped this could
 be me, so I could shamelessly exploit my position as the daughter of two of the most beloved church members ( I don't think my dad would have minded; he was always supportive of our event when he was alive).
    Basically, if we want to keep the December date, we need to find and get a commitment on a site in the next 15 days.  I'm sorry this is still up in the air, I had hoped for a better outcome on a quick decision.
