Greetings,

I sit here in awe of our great barony and populace, and thank you for all of the kind things that have been said about Saturday's feast, but I cannot take all of the credit for the outcome of this feast. I need to say thank you to so many people. Starting with the crew of the Raptor that came to our house back in the fall and allowed me to test many of these recipes on them, and gave me honest opinions and suggestions on how to improve these items.

I know that there are a handful of cooks in our barony that people think of when they want a special event cooked for, or they just think of them as wonderful cooks, these are the people that gave me wonderful advice on how to prepare for my first feast, and for that advice, thank you!

Thank you Lynn, Amy/Phillipa, Kelandra, Kat, Geni, and a lady (whose husband was attending the war college) I believe her name was Stacy, all of these ladies spent most of the day cutting up and seperating meat, cutting vegetables, and many other things (including the job of seperating 12 dozen eggs). I don't believe one of them took a class or anything. They were just there to help.

Thank you Tim and Teresa for heading up the servers, helping with clean up, serving, plating and much more, you guys were wonderful. Thank you to all of the servers, I can't begin to name all of you, but you were all incredible! Thank you to those that helped in setting up the hall, and having it ready for the feast.

A special thank you to Thorvald, who was back doing dishes when feast started, instead of sitting with his lady, Dervilia (who was also a huge help during the day), like he was suppposed to. To Lynn for coming back into the kitchen after first course was served, to make sure the pasta was ready for third course. To Callie, who helped between all of her running all day, assisted in plating, I believe she acted as one of the servers, and worked on dishes until she injured herself (I am so sorry that you were injured). Thank you!

Kelandra, I can't begin to tell you what it meant to me that you came to this event to help me! You amaze me with everything that you do. You are the one that made sure everything got sent out in a timely manner, and that it was nicely plated, thank you for being in charge of that.

Elisabeth de Calais, I was sorry that you were unable to be in the kitchen, but I know you had other obligations. Thank you for being someone to talk to every time I panicked leading up to this event. You kept me sane. :) HE Keigan also assisted with this job, and did quite a bit of purchasing for me, thank you.

I know I am forgetting to mention people, there were so many that helped. Everyone that helped cary stuff in Saturday morning, everyone that helped with clean up. I am sorry that I cannot name everyone, they all deserve a huge thank you for their help.

Last, but in no way least, thank you Talbot, my incredible husband. For dealing with the chaos in our house, for understanding when none of his sewing got done, for taking my dog to the vet on Saturday so that I could be on site all day, and for so much more, I love you.

Again, I apologize if I missed naming you, it is certainly not because you weren't appreciated.

YIS,

Ly Charmaine
