I realize I should have been more clear in my reasons why I made the suggestion that we could compile such articles into a booklet.

The first is that the Saga is always hurting for articles, and it occurred to me that with the very nice list of suggestions for articles we have been presented with, it might help give direction to people who otherwise might not have any idea of what they might write about.  People could look at the list and say "Hey, I can write about that!"

Second, while you are absolutely correct that such articles already exist, and yes, this would be in effect, re-inventing the wheel, articles we wrote wouldn't be under copyright to people far away, and that broadens our options for what the barony might be able to do with them.  It also offers the opportunity to add an Ansteorran spin to SCAisms and customs (for example, a glossary that lists your office as a "Gold Key" isn't really very helpful to someone from around here).

Finally, I had thought that ultimately it might be of a little use to your office, since people are far more responsive to a booklet they could be handed than simply being expected to look it up on the web.  Some new folks might be willing to go to that effort, others won't.
