So, now instead of the confusing rallying cries like "Hurrah, the North!", we have "GO Number One!"? Umm...


Anyway... Brad Leah is under voluntary suspension, and its zipcodes will likely return to Eldern Hills if it is disbanded rather than restored.

It's over six hours from Wiesenfeuer to Ravens Fort. It's under four hours to Adlersruhe, and a better comparison is who's close to Adlersruhe, since it has to br somewhere. It's 2 hours from Bonwicke, so that IS closer, but not enough to offset the effort to balance the size of the three regions. It's five and a half hours from Amarillo to DFW, which is the likely nerve center of Region 2.


Angus has pointed out one way the groups will be affected, other than administration. I'd like to see how that will work out. My bet is they're still working on it, and questions and suggestions would not be unwelcome, as long as they're constructive.

As for the other, time will tell. Speaking as Northern Herald, at least until September, I'd really rather not be Number One Herald, however you interpret that phrase.

couple questions off the top of my head ? 
1: is brad Leah still an active group? its on the map, but not in the list, where would it go ? 
2: within any region , but especially region 1, the distance to adlersruhe from any even wiesenfeur its closest direct group in region 1 is comparable to a drive from weiesnfeuer to the region 3 group of ravens fort. 
how , if in any way will this help the adlersruhe group stay viable ? 
3: other than paperwork, how will this help the kingdom , and its many groups? 
4: does this possibly have anything to do with the gorilla in the pink tutu , that has been rumored to possibly be in the future of the northern region ( region #1 )?

Maitre Etienne, our Northern Regional Seneschal, has forwarded me a message from our Kingdom Seneschal, Mistress Gwyneth Blackrose. She has asked that our group discuss the following changes, and for me to send comments and questions back to her. 
 
The following is a draft proposal discussed between the Kingdom Seneschal, the Greater Officers of State, and the Crown. It is not a decided, enacted plan; it is a draft out for review. 
 
Everyone should already know that Ansteorra is divided into groups for better management. We have been included in the Northern Region for some time. However, since some groups were much larger than others, they are proposing a reorganization of said groups so that our regional administration can better serve us. 
 
Here is the suggestion put together by the Great Officers. It is based on number of groups as well as millage between the outlying groups. 
 
Region 1: Aldersrhue, Chemin Noir, Mooneschadowe, Northkeep, Eldern Hills, Namron, Skorragardr, Wiesenfeuer (8 groups) 
 
Region 2: Steppes, Rosenfeld, Elfsea, Glaslyn, Lindenwood, DFT, Loch Ruadh, Emerald Keep, Bonwicke, Blacklake (10 groups) 
 
Region 3: Stargate, Bordermarch, Seawinds, Loch Soilleir, Gates Edge, Bjornsborg, Ffynnon Gath, Raven's Fort, Shadowlands, BrynGwlad, Hellsgate (11 groups) 
 
I am approaching this via the Northkeep list because they want a response by August 15th. 
 
So, Northkeep and any others on our list, please offer feedback. And, if you know of someone not on the list who has an opinion, please let them know so that they may also have a voice. And, whether a peer or a newbie, everyone's voice is worthy, so please don't hold back your opinion.
