Literary quotes aside an archer who fires an all black arrows should have a good
story as to why.
Are they some vengeance seeker one who knows the tale of the outlaw company of
the Black Arrow Fellowship from the War of the Roses, are they a Mongol archer
who has choosen this path because of "The Legend of the Black Arrow", or perhaps
some Ukrainian, Slav, or Turk who bases their choice upon the legend of Bogatyr
and the Black sea, or are these "wound-bees" wrought with the feathers of ravens
to honor Odin and his servants Huginn and Muninn so that no arrow flies without
thought or wisdom.
There are many options an archer could use to explain why they choose to let fly
black arrows, finding that reason and working it into who they are in the SCA
could make for a great persona.
