Many thanks for that clarification...for a depiction maybe something more in a 
traditional medieval illumination or icon style would be more appropriate.

In the middle ages, the only place you would see a memorial brass is in a 
church, and usually over the depicted individual's resting place.  It's funerary 
art.  
Memorial brasses are period, but brass rubbings came about during the Victorian 
period.
